Knauf System Finder is a free planning tool for architects and construction teams. It offers a web app and plugins for Revit and ArchiCAD and helps users find Knauf products & systems, access data, and generate specification documentation that’s 100% compliant with the Building Safety Act.

You can search and find products and systems based on requirements, such as fire resistance, sound insulation, partition height, wall thickness and moisture protection. The search function takes into account regional availability, ensuring that you are only recommended products and systems that are relevant for your location.

System finder has the most up to date information for our products and systems, by specifying your project here, you are ensuring that you are using the most up to date information possible.

By using System Finder, you have the ability to save projects. You can produce and download a full specification document, complete with Knauf K10 Specification Clauses.

Within System Finder you are able to request all critical support documentation including, K10 Specification Documents, Product Data sheets (including up to date fire test data), EPDs and Safety Data Sheets.

The BIM plug-in can be integrated directly into your BIM software, offering additional functions such as directly importing BIM objects, checking BIM object data and calculating quantities based on existing BIM models. The plug-in is therefore the recommended option if you are planning complete projects in BIM.

All BIM objects in Knauf System Finder are based on the latest technology. In order to ensure that this also applies to systems that you have taken on in Revit or ArchiCAD in the past (and that may have since been updated), our plug-in has a data validation function. Our plug-in also lets you know if you are using systems that are no longer available, and will recommend you possible alternatives.

What is Knauf System Finder?

Knauf System Finder is a combination of integrated services that supports planners, architects and construction companies during the entire drywall, ceilings, and wall lining design stage, integrated with BIM or as a standalone process. It offers functionality for finding, importing and updating appropriate Knauf products and system BIM objects with ease, and seamlessly creating documentation such as lists of services and invitations to tender. It is available both as a browser-based web application in the form of the system finder and as a BIM plug-in for Revit and ArchiCAD.

What benefits will I get from Knauf System Finder?

For architects and planners, the Knauf System Finder helps improve planning process efficiency and quality. Firstly, it helps you to find the right Knauf products or systems using an intuitive and rapid search function. Secondly, it helps with the maintenance of your BIM models with an integrated data check and the option to update data with one click. Thirdly, you can automatically create project lists and favourites of the correct Knauf systems and produce K10 Specifications directly or from the BIM model.

Which Knauf products and systems are available in the system search?

Knauf System Finder is currently available for a variety of Knauf wall, ceiling and floor systems in various countries. The precise number and type of available products and systems depends on the selected country, as Knauf System Finder has global functions for different countries.

Do I need to install Knauf System Finder?

You can use Knauf System Finder either as a browser-based web application or as a BIM plug-in for Revit and ArchiCAD. There is no Installation necessary for the web version. For the Knauf BIM plug-in, you can download the installation file from the Knauf web site or from the Revit app store. But be aware that certain functions (e.g. model-based data checking and quantity calculation) are only available in the BIM plug-in.
